Sports: Mccartney withdraws from world athletic championships because of injury. 22 year old pole vault star Eliza McCarney will not be attending the Olympic World championships starting next month. McCartney will be ending her season early due to a hamstring injury

Due to the increase in global warming with  meat industry playing a huge role in this the government has fabricated a plan on putting taxes on meat when buying produce.In a United Nations report which found that the human food system is 37 percent accountable for greenhouse gas emissions , the production of red meat is responsible for a lot of that.If taxes are successful we would cut down on our carbon footprint and even health issues such as cancer, heart disease and strokes.

National: One person is dead after a group of whitebaiters were swept into the Mataikona River, Around 2 pm on Thursday after police were called to Mataikona River, north of Castlepoint after someone reportedly had seen a handful of people were swept into the mouth of the river while out fishing for whitebait. All casualties returned to shore unfortunately one of the men didn’t survive and died on seen suspected to be from a medical event. The deceased has yet to be named
